Mini Entrepreneurs: little people, big dreams Catwalk of Confidence with Principal Lisa Literacy Matters: less apps, more books in laps

Some of my favourite moments aren't paid for at all.

A child standing proudly behind their very own stall.
A little one twirling down a catwalk, head held high.
A family falling in love with books together.

These are my free community initiatives. They're in their early stages, and as we move into 2027, I hope they grow into something truly special for families across the UAE.

Come and grow with us.

Mini Entrepreneurs

Little people, big dreams

Children bring their big ideas to life by running their very own stall, selling something they've made, alongside real vendors in a real mall. It's full of literacy and numeracy, and so much confidence.

  • ⭐ A talent to share

Every mini entrepreneur receives a special certificate, and I personally stop by to support every child.

The goal isn't the perfect table. It's your child leaving thinking: "I did that. I created something, spoke to people, and I'd love to do it again."

πŸ’› What parents say

"Saanvika absolutely loved every moment of the fair. What really warmed my heart was what happened after we got home. She started replicating the whole experience through pretend play: setting up her own little shop, playing the seller, playing the customer, going through the entire process just as she had seen it at the fair.

She is only 3.5, but she came away with a little understanding of what money means: that it is hard earned, that you have to put in effort and do your best job. That is not something you can teach from a book at this age. She learned it by doing it."

πŸ’› From our young entrepreneurs

"This was our very first event, and although we were a little nervous at first, we gained confidence, enjoyed meeting customers, and loved sharing our products with so many people. One of our favourite parts was meeting other young entrepreneurs and seeing all their creative ideas. It was a fantastic experience, and we are very proud to have been part of it. Thank you also for the participation certificate. It will be a lovely reminder of our very first event."

Catwalk of Confidence

Choose an outfit. Strike a pose. Be YOU.

At my last event, so many children told me that being a Mini Entrepreneur gave them confidence. So I asked myself: what other ways could we give children confidence? The Catwalk of Confidence was born, and this will be our very first one!

What happens? You register your child with their name and age, and I put every child into a running order. On the day, each child takes their turn on the catwalk while everyone cheers them on. They can walk, dance, twirl, wave or strut, with a little pretend paparazzi moment at the end! πŸ“Έ

What do they wear? That's entirely up to them: their best dress, their favourite glasses, something made, borrowed or upcycled. Our friends at Thrift for Good, the charity in the mall, will also have a rail of clothes for children to choose from if they'd like to.

  • πŸ†“ Free to take part
  • πŸ‘— Thrift for Good clothes rail
  • πŸ’› Kindness first
  • 🀝 Meet new friends

Who can take part? Every child is welcome. And if you run a business that sells children's clothes, you're very welcome to take part too.

No judging. No pressure. Just kindness, confidence and children getting to meet each other.

Literacy Matters

Less apps, more books in laps

Strong literacy skills start long before children can read. They grow in everyday moments: road signs, books at the park, labels at the supermarket.

There's a global literacy crisis right now, and it can't be solved at school alone. Literacy Matters gives parents simple, joyful ways to support reading at home.

  • πŸ›‚ Literacy passports
  • β˜• Short parent workshops

Raise a reader, not a reading score.

Want To Help These Take Flight?

I'd love to hear from schools, nurseries, brands and parents who want to be part of this in 2027, as a venue, a sponsor or a volunteer.
